My Sacrifice in 2000
I had sacrificed 'everything' --including her
cherished 'family' of horses --responsible for helping to create all
of our programs! This
sacrifice was made in 100% belief in what I 'heard' in the spirit
--by myself. I heard:
"AGAINST ALL ODDS!"
With many set-backs --due to a
proper 'property search', a facility was found, seemingly by divine
intervention, that required putting up her horses as rent [believing
in the Programs and how much the program helped people]. It
proved to be an unworthy effort in York County Pa.--even
though I did learn a ton there, some of what they did not want me to
learn.
The 'wait' for financial assistance and proper
recognition would have taken 20 years to acquire in that territory,
and I did not feel I had that long to wait, because in 1999-2000, I
was 59-60 years of age.
My clients felt tremendous frustration, loss,
and fear for the program, with the pressures placed on the me, as I
struggled to 'find an answer' to that dilemma. I had
several at my door to 'work for me' and I wasn't getting paid
myself! How could I pay them?
I fought to keep the horses as long
as physically possible, refusing to sell or separate them from the
family they grew up with.
An attorney who had not worked a case in 10
years, due to some mental health issues, actually stood up for Horse
Holiday, to keep the horses from being sold --while at this
facility, hoping, and waiting for two separate New York investors to
acquire the necessary funding to take the program to the
Adirondacks, in New York State.
One of those individuals worked feverishly, and the second
proved to be a fluke!
All this took it's tole on the timing, the program and myself.
This all just took too long, and the pressures mounted. I was
financially depleted also.
I made the decision to just 'WALK AWAY'
--rather than to sell or split them up, sold to different homes,
and, to an uncertain future.
I FLATLY REFUSED MONETARY GAIN, by
selling them!

On the last day at that facility as
promised, by more divinely 'heard words' --"If it goes to
the last day, I will be there", --God stepped in, and saw
to it that three (3) known individuals purchased seven (7) horses
each, from the owner of the facility, to keep them together in 3
groups. The owner kept
seven [7] --for himself to use in HIS business. I could never
have watched this! I just know too much.
On that last day, I had to put her beloved
Big Horse 'Beau
Lyncho' down --rather than to see him abused by those who would not
know him for his personality, humor, and worth.
Lyncho sadly had many physical issues, due to the strains of
the past few years, while searching for a proper facility.
My #2 horse was Honkey Tonkin, an
anglo-arab. The
owner of that facility had promised to sell back to me 'ANY HORSE'
that I could Re-Purchase, as I had the funds available,
however the check was immediately returned to me, in FLAT REFUSAL
-to sell back my #2 horse.
Mistrust, lies, and betrayal set-in --UNTIL I
remembered that 'Trusting in God' is the most important thing for
all concerned --especially now.
The HUGE QUESTION came to me.
The answer: "I
got the horses, and God gave me the Program",
So --walking away without any anxiety
was a straight and TALL WALK,
knowing that God had some bigger plans
ahead --'Against All Odds'.

I had to face
this nearly unbearable
circumstance, and continue to keep pushing forward,
with the same vision and personal mission
and fortitude, to continue to help others.
I believe the STQH Program was and is
a 'Gift' from God'.
It all came as an answer to a prayer --in
1980-82, when we started Fresh Start.
Why
else would God step in on 'the last day', making himself known, to
those who did not believe, and needed to!
Isn't
seven (7) God's number?
Isn't the three (3) representing
the Father, the Son, and
'The Holy Spirit
--of the Divine?
???
---"AGAINST ALL ODDS" ---?
In FIRM BELIEF?
--A
SOLID--YES!
As stated by myself --in a paper I wrote in
her last few months there, [I still have copies of these papers] --I
knew:
"God
was preparing for us [and the program] --A Place --Where Eagles
Fly'...

God would soon
make it known --that our perseverance was 'guided and gifted by that
small light' --within us ALL!

Our
story is one of Faith, Belief, and WORKS,
within the
'Personal Search
for Meaning',
in the
fast-paced days we live in.
God was
there on that LAST DAY, as promised --he would be!
That was August 20 or 22, 2000. I stood firm on this
belief.

God be here again on August 30, 2011?
Is this Just 'Another
Day' --to PROVE that God's Hands ARE on Horse Holiday Programs,
as I have said from such a
seemingly --long time ago? We will see!

God must have greater plans for Horse
Holiday org. then what one woman, alone can do.
I DO believe this.
The last couple of weeks we have created two LLC, copyrighted
the curriculum, got an accountant, an attorney, business consultant,
and a grant writer! We also got some help --to start paying
that Grant writer who is paid NOW through September.
Lots has happened these last few weeksm and we can see farther
than we could see before.
'Is this a LIVING MIRACLE
--happening --right now?'
We WILL
see what happens in the near future!

I always wait for 'His' Divine timing,
still working, always watching --as God is doing His work!
I wake in the morning --after bedtime questions are held and
lifted to Our God..
When I wake, I hear the words --'what to do next', and that is
how I have been guided for many years past. I can not do
otherwise.

I learned THAT lesson with my great mare Bella, when I
did NOT LISTEN to what I was told to do.
Bella was stricken down BOLDLY --right in front of my eyes!

Almost 4
years [2004] after much documenting, Horse Holiday
was gifted with Redi --a large 3 yr. old Arabian!
His star is just like Lyncho's.
It told me alot! It was NOT my Beau Lyncho --but the Message
was still there. And, I always said I would love to have a BIG
Arabian. Redi --is a big Arab!
--'Believe in the Light of God'

Perfection
--and even more of it --is yet to
come!
I was supposed to
be able to purchase any of my horse's back in 2000,
however that wasn't what happened.
Of course Honkey Tonkin my horse #2 was last on the so called deal
with landowner. I gave him the check for Honkey Tonkin for
$1,000.00. He came to the barn with his wife as a witness --I
am sure. My check was
immediately returned to me, and they kept Honky Tonkin, my prime
horse #2, that I wanted to keep --because I had just put My Beau
Lyncho down.
I was devastated, and then this!
After 6 years of
hard long riding,
somehow he was 'gifted back to me'
in 2006.
I did not ask why!
God's hands were on all this, and
it was time he was returned to me.
It has also taken him 2 years to
return to normal.
He spoke loudly to me by his
actions, and stance.
He is finally relaxing again --to
become a natural horse again.
I am so grateful he is finally home with me.
